October 23, Astana. Тhe Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan held a meeting with the chairman of the Supreme Court and the Prosecutor General of Turkey.
Greeting the Turkish colleagues, Zh. Asanov noted the friendly and constructive nature of bilateral relations in the legal sphere.
During the conversation, the Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan informed the Turkish side about the main directions of activity of the prosecutor’s office of Kazakhstan, as well as on the ongoing work to expand and strengthen the contractual and legal framework.
Zh. Asanov introduced the guests to the course of changes in the activities of the prosecutor’s office of the country after the adoption of the new law “On the prosecutor’s Office”, and also focused on the efforts made to achieve the goals of strengthening the protection of citizens in the criminal process.
The interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest and exchanged views on the most pressing issues on the international agenda.
The chairman of the Supreme Court Ismail Rushtu Jirit and the Prosecutor General of Turkey Mehmet Akarja got acquainted and positively assessed the work of the Center for Law Enforcement Services and the Project Office of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan. They were demonstrated with number of projects implemented by the Committee of the Prosecutor General’s Office within the framework of the President’s Message on the development of digital technologies in the country. These are the projects: “E-criminal case”, “Unified register of administrative production”, “Analytical Center”, etc.
The parties unanimously noted the opportunities of the Analytical Center to issue criminogenic forecasts, analytical materials to raise awareness of the population and improve the efficiency of law enforcement agencies, applying Data driven decisions (data-based solutions) through algorithmic processes and automation of analytics, as well as a combination of internal and external data.
At the end of the meeting, Zh. Asanov thanked the Turkish side for the visit and expressed the intention to further expand cooperation in the legal sphere.
