Today during the visit of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Askhat Daulbayev to the Republic of Belarus, Minsk there has been held a bilateral meeting with the Prosecutor General of Belarus Mr. Alexander Konyuk.
The sides have discussed the issues of interaction within the Eurasian Economic Union, in particular the coordination of the activities of the prosecution authorities on control over the movement of goods, suppression of administrative offences in the field of road transport, smuggling cars, as well as the possibility of establishment of expert working group for discussion and elaboration of issues settlement, associated with the activities of mentioned union.
Mr. A. Daulbayev has informed his colleague about the ongoing work in Kazakhstan aimed at combating transnational crime, strengthening of international cooperation and improvement of information technologies in the context of the economic integration.
The colleagues have emphasized the necessity in taking joint measures on operational exchange of information and integration of existing databases of the authorized bodies in order to identify and eliminate these problems.
The interlocutors have stressed that the importance of strengthening cooperation between the law enforcement agencies for effective countering the challenges and threats of the modern world is increasing. Constructive dialogue on common regional crime issues will give opportunity for elaboration of joint approaches on their settlement and resolution.
Tomorrow there will be held a trilateral meeting of the prosecutor generals of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Askhat Daulbayev, the Russian Federation Mr. Yuri Chaika and the Republic of Belarus Mr. Alexander Konyuk, where the topical issues and prospects of cooperation will be considered by the counterparts.
