Press release on the ordinary session of the Coordinating Council of Prosecutor Generals of CIS member states (September 25, 2014, Dushanbe)

The ordinary session of the Coordinating Council of Prosecutor Generals of CIS member states (CCPG) was held in Dushanbe, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Askhat Daulbayev attended the meeting.

The most important issues of cooperation between supervisory authorities, aimed at countering modern challenges and threats were discussed at the forum.  

It was emphasized  by the participants that the urgency of improvement and further consolidation of efforts of prosecutor general’s offices is incomparably increasing in the context of the strategic objectives on ensuring regional security.

The participants of the meeting discussed the issues on protection of citizens rights, in particular those beyond their states, and also the issues concerning implementation of the interstate program on joint measures for combating crime.

In the framework of the forum there was also held bilateral meetings of       Mr. A.Daulbayev with the Prosecutor  Generals of Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and the heads of the Prosecutor's offices of Russia, Azerbaijan, and the Executive Secretary CCPG, during which the sides discussed prospects of further cooperation.
