The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Askhat Daulbayev took part at the 12th session of the Prosecutor Generals of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states, which was held in Tashkent.
The forum was attended by senior Supervisory authorities of the SCO member States Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, the SCO Secretary-General and the Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Counter-Terrorism Structure (RCTS) of the SCO. Representatives from Observer States India, Iran, and Mongolia also attended the meeting.
The main topics of the agenda were the issues on enforcement of environmental laws, protection of the rights of entrepreneurs, minors’ rights, and identification, confiscation and return of illegally gained revenues.
Mr. A.Daulbayev informed the participants about the ongoing activities in Kazakhstan on the use of transboundary waters, reduction of administrative barriers and protection of the rights of entrepreneurs, as well as anti-money laundering and property.
The Protocol was adopted as the result of the meeting where the heads of Supervisory authorities reaffirmed their readiness to intensify joint efforts on combating transnational crime and to implement effective, coordinated policy on this direction.
The Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan held bilateral talks with the Prosecutor Generals of China, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Mongolia, Deputy Prosecutor General of Kyrgyzstan, representative of the Ministry of Law and Justice of India and also with the heads of the SCO and the RCTS of the SCO. During the meetings there were discussed actual issues and cooperation aspects in the area of combating crime.
