Today during the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Askhat Daulbayev’s working visit to Minsk, the Republic of Belarus, there has been held a meeting with the Prosecutor General of Belarus Mr. Konyuk Alexander Vladimirovich.
Mr. A.Daulbayev has extended gratitude to Mr. A.Konyuk for invitation to visit Belarus, emphasizing that cooperation between Kazakhstan and Belarus has a strategic alliance character.
During the meeting the parties have expressed contentment with the current bilateral relations and have discussed the prospects of further cooperation.
The counterparts have stressed that the relevance of efforts consolidation in combating challenges and threats of the modern world immensely increases in the context of the current strategic tasks on ensuring international and regional security.
Mr. A.Daulbayev has noted with satisfaction that cooperation between the Prosecutor General's offices both in multilateral and in bilateral formats has been implemented rather fruitfully.
The issues related to the fight against transnational organized crime and legalization of illegally gained incomes, extremism and terrorism, drug trafficking have been discussed. The accord has been reached in the sphere of exchange of operational information on permanent basis, experiences of international cooperation and exchange of experts in order to study the positive experience of the two countries.
The meeting result was the signing of the Agreement on cooperation between the Prosecutor General 's offices and the Memorandum of understanding between the Prosecutor's offices of Astana and Minsk.
At the press conference held after the signing ceremony, the Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan has emphasized that the signed interagency Agreement aims at strengthening of cooperation between law enforcement authorities of the two States and making an important contribution in combating crime, ensuring law and order.
