The Prosecutor General Askhat Daulbayev, during his working visit to Switzerland held a meeting with the Secretary General of Federal department of justice and police Mr. Matthias Ramsauer and Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of foreign affairs Mr. Arthur Mattli.

In the course of dialogue A.Daulbayev informed the Swiss colleagues about the achieved results in the field of supervision and human rights protection activities of the prosecution service, described the process of reforming the law enforcement system of Kazakhstan.

A separate topic of conversation was the accession of Kazakhstan to the four basic conventions of the Council of Europe in the field of criminal justice.

M.Ramsauer reported that the Federal Department of Justice and Police welcomes the process of reforming the judicial system in Kazakhstan, and is willing to consider supporting Kazakhstan's initiative on joining the European Conventions, informing about this issue the country's leadership.

This meeting, in recognition of the parties, should serve as an important impulse for strengthening the cooperation and establishing fruitful relations on a wide range of issues related to further development of the legal systems of the two countries.
