The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Turkey Hasan Erbil visited Kazakhstan. A bilateral meeting with the Prosecutor General Askhat Daulbayev took place during the visit.

A.Daulbayev praised the fruitful cooperation with competent authorities of Turkey in strengthening legality and ensuring law and order of two countries. Herein he underlined that a full pack of interstate agreements in legal sphere had been signed between two countries.

The Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan emphasized that this visit is an important step for further development of relations between supervision bodies of Kazakhstan and Turkey and shows the concernment to strengthen existing relations.

The Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan also informed his foreign colleagues about work priorities of prosecution service of Kazakhstan in general and in expansion and strengthening of international legal cooperation.

A constructive conversation and exchange of opinions on crucial inter-resort questions, such as the fight against transnational organized crime, terrorism, extremism and cybercrime, took place during the meeting. The parties stressed that, within the framework of modern strategic tasks in ensuring regional security, the topicality of further consolidation of strengths in joint tasks to fight modern challenges arises.

In his turn, the Prosecutor General of Turkey H.Erbil thanked his Kazakhstani colleague for the reception and expressed his readiness to deepen the cooperation.

As a result of the negotiations, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Prosecutor Generals’ offices of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Republic of Turkey has been signed.
