Minister of Justice of Czech Republic Pavel Blazek and Supreme Prosecutor of Czech Republic Pavel Zeman paid a visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan.  

The major result of the visit was signing of Treaty between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Czech Republic on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters. Signing of this Treaty will give to Kazakhstan and Czech competent authorities an opportunity to render active legal assistance to each other, including criminal proceedings, collection of evidences and prosecution of the offences, which are punishable according to jurisdiction of requesting state.  

As parties emphasized, signing of this document will bring bilateral legal relations on a significant new level and give impetus to expansion and strengthening of   legal treaty base.

Askhat Daulbayev noted that international cooperation is considered by Kazakhstan as an essential tool providing transnational security, and signing of intergovernmental agreement is an important step for the further development of the existing fruitful relationship in the way of the rule of law.

An important topic of conversation were the issues of combating money laundering, that are proceeds of crime, as well as enhanced cooperation in the exchange of experiences in the fight against organized crime.
