Today, In the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan Prosecutor General Askhat Daulbayev met with the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Slovak Republic Ctibor Kostal.

During the meeting, took place a constructive dialogue and exchange of views on topical issues of inter-agency, particularly, in the field of combating crime, as well as in the expansion of legal framework.

A.Daulbayev highly estimated the fruitful cooperation with the competent authorities of Slovakia in the promotion of the rule of law between the two countries. He noted that this visit is an important step for the further development of the existing relationship between the supervisory authorities of Kazakhstan and Slovakia, as well as confirming the parties' interest in further strengthening of them.

Prosecutor General also spoke about the priorities of the prosecution service in Kazakhstan, the work done in the area of ​​the expansion and strengthening of international legal cooperation.

In turn, Deputy Prosecutor General of Slovakia thanked Kazakhstan Party for the warm welcome and expressed his willingness to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation.

As a result of negotiations between the General Prosecutor's Offices of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Slovak Republic, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding and made a decision to start a process of adjustment and conclusion of intergovernmental Treaty on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters.
