PRESS RELEASE about the meeting of the General Prosecutor of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the General prosecutor of Switzerland (September 12, 2013, Astana)

Today, General Prosecutor Askhat Daulbayev has a met with the General Prosecutor of the Swiss Confederation Michael Lauber. 

During conversation of the party expressed satisfaction the reached level of the acquired cooperation, having noted that the real visit is an important step for further development of the developed relationship between supervisory authorities of two Countries. Also the wide range of questions, representing mutual interest were discussed.

The General Prosecutor informed the guest about the main activities of Prosecutor's Office, having emphasized that protection of human rights at criminal prosecution, implementation of obligations of Kazakhstan connected with accession of the country to the main international treaties in this sphere are a subject of special attention from the Head of State and all authorized bodies.

The General Prosecutor also noted interest of law enforcement agencies of Kazakhstan in establishment and development of constructive dialogue with the countries having experience of fight against organized and transnational crime.

Mr. Lauber highly appreciated a role of the Kazakhstan Prosecutor's Office in realization of international legal policy of the country and confirmed intention throughout the interested cooperation on the questions connected with the general strategic tasks of law enforcement and regional security, coordination of efforts on joint counteraction to calls and threats of the modern world.
