The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Kozhamzharov took part in the 28th meeting of the coordination Council of General Prosecutors of the CIS member states in Dushanbe (Republic of Tajikistan).
The coordination Council platform is traditionally considered effective for discussing the issues of the state of law and order, new approaches in the fight against crime and strengthening the rule of law.
Every year the heads of the Supreme Supervisory bodies of the CIS countries – Russia, Belarus, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan took part in the meetings.
This year, the Prosecutor General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia took part as a guest.
The Kazakhstan delegation presented the foreign colleagues the work on the digitalization of the law enforcement sphere and the implementation of IT-technologies in the Prosecutor's supervision.
"Now, on behalf of the President N.Nazarbayev, we continue to reform the criminal process with the introduction of digital technologies. The General Prosecutor’s office coordinates this work. Prosecutor's supervision is also actively transferred into electronic format", K. Kozhamzharov said.
The Kazakhstan experience in the investigation of criminal cases in electronic format, digitalization of administrative proceedings and consideration of appeals, automation of inspections, as well as the use of analytical and information systems generated particular interest.
To date, more than 7 thousand cases are being investigated in electronic format, half of them are sent to the court. More than two thousand cases were considered by the court.
