On Execution of UN Security Council Resolution

Prosecutor General Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan analysed measures that are taken for execution of United Nations Security Council Resolution on counter-terrorism operations by concerned state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As of today, Kazakhstan acceded all 19 Conventions on counter-terrorism and protocols hereto. 60 bilateral agreements concluded with countries of Europe, Asia and America. In addition, UN Security Council adopted 41 resolutions on counter-terrorism under which our country has certain obligations.

In general, the analysis showed that authorized state bodies of Kazakhstan ensure execution of UN Security Council resolutions. 

According to statements (as an example) of Kazakhstani prosecutors organizations “Taliban”, “Al-Qaeda”, “ISIS” and others were recognized by court as terroristic, their activity is prohibited in the country.

At the same time, upon findings derived from the analysis Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan was propounded to consider an issue as regards to development of a set of measures for further effective execution of UN Security Council resolutions.
