About the meeting of the Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan with the Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (Washington)

On February 19, in the framework of the visit to the USA the Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan Mr. AskhatDaulbayev held a meeting with the Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation Mr. Mark Giuliano.

The sides discussed a wide range of bilateral issues of legal cooperation, in particular the issues associated with countering transnational organized crime, launderthe proceeds of crime and also the issues of operative exchange of information and experience.

The Prosecutor General also appreciated the role of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in cooperation on the issues of fight against extremism and terrorism, cybercrimes, and also extended gratitude for the organization of training for prosecution office staff at the International Law Enforcement Academy in Budapest.

The sides expressed their interest in further strengthening of cooperation between the competent authorities of two countries to effectively counter the challenges and threats of the modern world, to develop common approaches on solving regional problems of combating crime.
