There was a meeting with a delegation of the European Parliament headed by Christian Dan Preda, Deputy Chairman of the Subcommittee on Human Rights of the European Parliament at the General Prosecutor's Office.
Foreign guests are acquainted with the prosecutor's office activities, as well as with the state of affairs in the field of protecting the citizens’ rights and freedoms, ensuring the principles of democracy and the rule of law.
Members of the delegation thanked the Kazakh side for its openness and the opportunity to exchange views on a number of issues that are of interest to the European community.
Deputies expressed satisfaction with the information received and documentary data provided by prosecutors on specific cases.
In addition, the sides discussed aspects of further cooperation in the field of protecting human rights and combating crime.
