About bilateral meetings of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Great Britain (London, February 24, 2015)

During his visit to the UK the Prosecutor General Mr. Askhat Daulbayev held a meeting with the Minister of State for Civil Justice and Legal Policy  Mr. Edward Faulks.

They discussed the specific issues on accession of Kazakhstan to the Council of Europe Conventions on international legal cooperation in criminal matters, about signing the Treaty on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters, exchange of experiences in the penitentiary system, as well as the issues of cooperation in fight against violent extremism and terrorism.

The parties reached agreement that the British side will send to Kazakhstan their expert group to study legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as for development and coordination of the text of the Treaty on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters.

The interlocutors highlighted the role of the ground of the Global Law Summit held in London in strengthening collaboration and cooperation to ensure the rule of law, access to justice and sustainable development.
